The Boss White Pipe Jointing Compound – 400g is a non-toxic compound for sealing threaded joints on non-drinking water pipes and is suitable for hot and cold water and low pressure steam up to 7 bar. This compound is nontoxic but should be used on non-drinking water pipes only. Boss white is a jointing compound, not for use on potable water. Plumber mait is a putty for making sanitary fitting in, not any good for olives or pipe threads.
